Christmas came early with James and Anna

Interest in Winter Weddings is definitely on the rise; I think Brides are beginning to realize that our temperamental summers cannot always guarantee a wonderful photo album. There is also the lingering subject of budget and off peak dates can often save you thousands. Winter is such a beautiful season surrounded by festivity and warm, rich colours. The majestic atmosphere of Fulham Palace makes for a wonderful winter wedding venue and the grand features are quite fitting for a crisp afternoon.

We had the pleasure of hosting James and Anna’s wedding last November, a civil ceremony in the Great Hall followed by dinner and dancing. Their beautiful choice of flowers adorned with berries created a merry atmosphere throughout the Palace accompanied by a few decorative Christmas trees. We are so glad that the lovely Sarah Elvin Photography managed to capture all these little details that make a big difference.

The arrival of the groom and his party signified the beginning of what was set to be a very cheerful day.

You can only imagine that being wed in front of a flickering fire surrounded by Christmassy décor made for a jolly tone from the start. The lovely and talented Jessica King Holford played in front of the fire for the arrival of the Bride which definitely made for a romantic atmosphere.

The happy couple embraced the cold air for photos after the ceremony and took advantage of the beautiful Autumnal colours in the Palace’s surrounding gardens.

Whilst the guests enjoyed a drinks reception and the couple continued photographing their special day our team transformed the Great hall for the wedding breakfast, we particularly love the Christmas trees prettying the corners of the room.
