Introducing Helen Barlow Personal Trainer

We are super excited to be able to introduce you to Helen Barlow who we are really excited to work with and recommend to you if you would like help getting fit and healthy ready for your big day.

We find out a little more about her below ….

What path did you take to become a personal trainer and how long has this been your career?

I have been working in the fitness industry for the past 4 years in South West London.
I have always been passionate about fitness and movement, and the benefits of exercise for a healthy mind and body. I began my training at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, where I graduated with a 1st class Hons. I then trained with Premier International to gain my Level 3 Personal Training, and Stott Pilates.

Tell us a little bit about your training style and what people can expect from working with you…

My sessions are completely tailored to the individual and their goals. For me, exercise has to be enjoyable to be sustainable so EVERY session is fun, but I also love to push clients to see their full potential, and sometimes that involves sweat and tears!
I specialise in barre and Pilates methods, functional training and postural work, and fat loss programs.

What do you love most about your job?

I love each and every one of my clients. I love seeing them progress and build confidence not just in the gym but in their everyday life. I can’t think of a more rewarding job! I also love being my own boss and creating my own opportunities.

If you had to pick one piece of advice to offer someone who is looking to change their health and fitness regime, what would it be and why?

Find something that is enjoyable for you. You have to enjoy your health and fitness regime for it to be sustainable. Maybe that means going to classes with friends, going to a dance class, taking up tennis … Fitness is not punishment for your body it’s a celebration of what your body can do! So embrace your body, move every day, and enjoy what you do. Once your mindset is healthy and happy, the body follows suit!
