2016’s Best Bits So Far – Fulham Palace Weddings

2016 – another year nearly over, and this one seemed to simply fly by. With the nights drawing in and Christmas much sooner than it seems, we have taken a moment to pause in the office and reflect on our favourite moments of the summer.

There were far too many to choose from but we have managed to (just about) whittle it down to a top 10 which we are excited to share with you below;

#1 Kewei & Martin’s outdoor Humanist ceremony

Kewei and Martin’s beautiful ceremony took place in our Tudor courtyard, it was such a joyous occasion and the whole day was magical. Even the weather was perfect so it had to make our top 10! Photography by Stephanie Swann.

#2 Natasha and Julian’s suitcases full of surprises

Natasha and Julian’s day was styled to perfection with hints of the Gatsby period. The many suitcases of treats and details were just some of the added bonuses that guests received throughout the day! You can see more from there day here… Photography by  Lucy at My Heart Skipped.

#3 Lorna & Lachlan’s hanging plank and tea lights

We have seen many a flower chandelier in our time but Lorna and Lachlan’s hanging plank was a first in our marquee and it completely blew us away. Our marquee is a blank canvas so a hanging feature is the perfect addition to add some style and personality to the room! Photography by Phillipa Sian.

#4 Emma & Ted’s wedding video

Emma and Ted – a fairytale wedding with a bride so happy she was effortlessly skipping around the Palace, wearing the biggest smile all day. Their amazing videographer (Beautiful Life Films) captured the whole day, the atmosphere & the happiness, watch it here.

#5 Discovering Andre Saxman Brown

Andre made an appearance at Katie and Michael’s wedding in June this year and we fell in love with the amazing atmosphere he created from the moment he started to play. We will continue to suggest him to clients again and again – the perfect party starter!

#6 Rosanna & Duncan’s wall of birch trees and hanging birdcages

Rosanna and Duncan’s day was picture perfect, their rustic styling effortlessly added to the country house setting Fulham Palace creates. The combination of greenery, long tables with natural linen and birdcages made for a relaxed yet romantic dining setting. Flowers by Albert & Arthur.

#7 All of Jay Archer’s floral wizardy

Jay has been working at Fulham Palace pretty much from the start and since then she has become one of our friends as well as a supplier! Over the summer we have seen some spectacular arrangements, each and every wedding is different, unique and beautiful and long may it continue…

#8 Madhen the party band!

One word – outstanding. Madhen came to us for a wedding in a clear span marquee in our courtyard. The party matched the setting and that was all thanks to their incredible performance – for a taster of their work visit their website here.

#9 Bespoke Bars

We can’t help but love additional styling at Fulham Palace and our in house production team, Effect Event, at Fulham Palace have added some bespoke bars to their repertoire. The LED lit bars transform our evening rooms and add personality and atmosphere to the spaces. We are looking forward to seeing them again!

#10 Tailoring bespoke menus

We will always work with our couples to produce a menu that works not only for them but also their guests. We particularly love it when a bride and groom would like to incorporate something slightly different or from their heritage. This year we have done gazpacho shots and a parma ham station for a Spanish groom, Paella for a more laid back couple and a popping candy dessert for a bride who was so much fun! It’s all about your personality shining through!
