Smart and Stylish – Katie and Michael

A beautiful bride, a beautiful day and a whole lot of fun in the sun. Katie and Michael chose Fulham Palace as their wedding venue for their ceremony and celebrations on a superb summer’s day in June this year.

The day began with a ceremony in our Great Hall followed by a blessing of marriage in the Tait Chapel. However, once the formalities were over, it was all about having fun and celebrating surrounded by family and friends for these two. We will certainly look back on Katie and Michael’s day with fond memories of playing a part in their amazing wedding party and celebrations.

Spirits were high from the very start. Dapper suits and glitzy gowns set the tone…

Katie arrived shortly after her Bridesmaids to walk up the aisle and be reunited with Michael, it was all smiles from here on in and Ben Moore captured them brilliantly!

A quick glass of champagne to celebrate before the blessing in the Tait Chapel, an opportunity for some stunning photographs. This time, walking down the aisle together!

Both ceremonies over and now it’s time to celebrate! Our Tudor Courtyard is the perfect setting for  a confetti shot… these two didn’t stop smiling all day!

Sun still shining, canapes passed and Prosecco poured, the wedding party enjoyed mingling outside before being invited to join the newlyweds for the wedding breakfast in the Chaplain’s Walled Garden Marquee.

Katie and Michael had cleverly chosen photos to mark place settings on their tables – a nice personal touch and the elegant white flower arrangements created a classic look throughout.

A delicious and seasonal three course meal was served followed by speeches and cake cutting. The best was yet to come with Katie and Michael’s plans; the fantastic Andre Saxman Brown appeared to surprise guests and lead them back to the Courtyard to commence cocktail hour.

Teamed with Sally Potterton on the violin, the duo played alongside modern day music creating the perfect party atmosphere.

After an hour of cocktails in the courtyard, it was time for the first dance and to party the night away inside the Palace.

Safe to say the dancefloor was busy all night, evening food was passed to keep guests going and that they did.

We had so much fun being a part of Katie and Michael’s special day and a big thank you from us to Ben Moore for sharing his fantastic work with us, you definitely managed to capture the constant happiness that surrounded the wedding from start to finish.

We wish Katie and Michael all the best for their happy marriage and hope you enjoy reliving your day with the blog post!
