Rustic Elegance – Rebecca & Dan

Rebecca and Dan wed at Fulham Palace in July 2015, we have always been looking forward to featuring their wedding, the elegant styling and the beautiful weather made for some lovely images of the day. Guests arrive in the Tudor Courtyard shortly followed by the bridal car!

We loved the subtle shades that Rebecca and Dan had chosen for her day, the overall look and feel perfectly complemented the Palace’s elegant style. Jay Archer, a regular florist here at the Palace, was the brains behind the stunning bridal bouquets and floral arrangements for the rest of the day.

Rebecca and Dan were one of our lovely couples that married in the Bishop Sherlock’s room, available for civil ceremonies during the summer season. The room is home to many historical paintings and a beautiful feature chandelier!

One of our favourite photo opportunities at the Palace is the all important confetti shot in the courtyard! We love this one of the happy couple – both wearing big smiles and confetti mid air!

Now is the perfect time for the newly weds to sneak away for couple shots in the Palace’s grounds whilst guests enjoy champagne and canapés in the sunshine! The gardens really are a hidden gem in this part of London so they are the perfect opportunity for country style photos surrounded by greenery!

Our waffle cones with Gin & Tonic sorbet went down a treat!

Rebecca’s Scottish heritage came through on the day with a piper leading the way into the Chaplain’s Garden Marquee. A lovely personal and fun touch! Spot the Hydrangeas in full bloom!

Into the Chaplain’s Garden Marquee for the wedding breakfast, the ‘Garden’ theme was running through the decor with the wonderful flowers by Jay Archer. The chandelier and dessert table foliage really added to the feel of the day. The hanging flowers and bulbs created a chic yet rustic vibe which worked perfectly to create a flow between the private garden and the marquee interior.

Brownie Box provided the amazing array of sweet treats on the dessert table along with the wedding cake. A beautiful feature and a nice alternative to a plated dessert!

Speeches and cake cutting complete, time to head back inside the Palace for the first dance and evening party! We absolutely loved working with Rebecca and Dan on their special day, the overall look was beautiful and one of our favourites here at the Palace. Rebecca worked with Rebecca Kobus at Glimmer and Threads for help with the styling and a month of coordination. The end result –  a perfect rustic elegant wedding! We wish them all the best for their future together! A big thank you to Tarah Coonan for sharing all of these wonderful images with us – we hope to work with you again at the Palace soon!
