A Wedding Planner’s Wedding – Rebecca & Frans

When Rebecca, party planner, event designer and wedding blogger extraordinaire chose Fulham Palace for her wedding to Frans, we had smiles from ear to ear. We love working with likeminded individuals in the industry as it is always twice the fun, plus we love Rebecca’s work featured on her blog and couldn’t wait to see what her own wedding would bring us!

With Rebecca being a self-confessed lover of all things pink, we knew the Palace was going to be fit for a princess on the day of her wedding. A colour scheme made up of pink, black, white and gold was subtly styled throughout the venue and complemented by the Groom’s suit, the Bridesmaid’s dresses, Rebecca’s bouquet and the staff dress code.

Rebecca originally comes from the States and Frans from Holland, so London, being their new home, seemed like the perfect city for the celebrations. Family and friends were at the heart of their day and even their beloved dog, Sir Oliver, was present for photographs after the ceremony! All these special moments were captured by the couple’s wonderful photographer Abby Jiu. Rebecca’s beautiful wedding car was from First Choice Wedding Cars.

Married at All Saints Fulham, the happy couple and their guests enjoyed a short walk through the gardens to the reception at the Palace. Now’s the perfect time for Rebecca and Frans to sneak away for some more intimate photo’s in the lovely surrounding grounds.

Walled Garden Wedding

After enjoying a drinks reception in the Tudor Courtyard, guests are called to be seated for the wedding breakfast in our Chaplain’s Garden Marquee. Rebecca and Frans had continued the colour scheme throughout the table settings and floristry. Glimmer and Threads helped to plan and style the day, providing sparkling golden linen. The gold cutlery and glassware from Helene Millot Furnishings perfectly complemented the rest of the tableware.

Rebecca had big ideas for the marquee, and in the end Jay Archer created a wonderful design for a flower chandelier, Rebecca even went as far as saying “I wanted to sleep on the tables, under the chandelier that night, it smelt like a garden and was so beautiful!” With this being the first hanging arrangement we had at the Palace, Rebecca certainly set a trend and we have had plenty more ever since!

Even the staff, food and drinks were styled to perfection, the colours married so well together, it was no surprise the end result was a wedding so perfect for a blog.

Formalities over, it was time to get the party started, let the champagne flow!

We feel honoured to have been a part of Rebecca and Frans’ big day, from start to finish it was a pleasure to work with someone so passionate about what we do! We also had the opportunity to work with two fantastic wedding planners on this occasion Always Andri who coordinated on the day and Elizabeth Duncan Events who Rebecca booked to help with the planning in the month leading up to the big day!
