A Romantic Rose and Gold wedding – Lois & Matt

A lot of our brides have a real vision for their day and how they can personalise Fulham Palace, Lois was one of those Brides.

Lois and Matt’s day was beautifully styled with romantic tones of rose and gold throughout, hours of work went into cutting their table confetti and Lois even baked her own four tier wedding cake. The end result was one of the best we have seen…

Their day started at All Saints Church, Fulham, just at the “bottom of our garden”! The happy couple finished their ceremony and hopped in their wedding car to be dropped off at the Palace, whilst their guests enjoyed a short walk through the gardens.

One of the ushers could be seen carrying the church flowers through the courtyard with a beaming smile!

Despite it being traditionally one of the hotter months of the year, the British weather was turbulent and we had some spots of rain. Spirits weren’t to be dampened though, as some guests made the most of the opportunity for an outdoor reception and embraced the light showers with umbrellas in the Courtyard.

Canapés and Prosecco a plenty, the reception was well under way. The couple’s lovely photographer Neale James snuck off to capture the marquee at a quiet moment before it filled with guests for the wedding breakfast.

Kirsty, of Flowers by Kirsty, had created a romantic setting in the marquee with a mix of deep red and pale pink roses, white hydrangeas and greenery on gold stands. The top table was highlighted with a hanging feature creating a beautiful backdrop behind the happy couple.

The tables were laid with bespoke gold cutlery from Classic Crockery and wine bottles for table name stands spray painted by Lois and Matt. The final touch was the scattered confetti cut by family and friends in the lead up to the day in varying colours, all of which complemented their rose and gold wedding styling.

Soon enough the marquee was bustling with guests and a delicious three course meal was served. Speeches came shortly afterwards and laughter could be seen and heard as Lois was gifted a football shirt for Matt’s favourite team adorned with her new surname!

Speeches drew to a close and guests were invited back inside the Palace for cake cutting and cocktail hour. Now’s the time to appreciate the amazing cake Lois had made herself as well as the delicious surrounding sweet treats by Konditor and Cook.

As their guests were occupied by the dessert table and cocktails, Lois and Matt slipped away for some private and personal photography with Neale on the Paddock Lawn.

Time to head back inside for the first dance and evening party, we love this picture of them both with ear to ear smiles in front of their brilliant band! It was such a pleasure to be a part of their day and Lois created a wedding fit for plenty of bridal inspiration! Thank you to the wonderful Neale James again for sharing your photography. We wish the couple all the best for their happy future together!
