An Intimate Autumn Wedding – Mari & Ben

We believe that every wedding is different here at Fulham Palace, with such a variety of versatile spaces available to each couple, we can make your wedding as individual and bespoke as you had hoped it to be. Mari and Ben chose to a hold a beautiful intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast on a Thursday at the Palace last October. There is no day of the week that a wedding isn’t possible for us!

They married with their closest family and friends watching in the Bishop’s Terricks Drawing Room. Making use of the Palace’s homely interior, their florists Okishima and Simmons, dressed the mantelpiece, shelves and signing table with a stunning array of roses, daisies, cow parsley and baby hydrangeas and battery powered votives.

Pete Black, a classically trained guitarist provided the perfect background music for the all-important moment when Mari entered the room…

Here comes the Bride…

Mari and Ben chose to have a blessing in the Palace’s Tait Chapel after their civil ceremony.

Both ceremony’s over and now is the perfect time for couple’s to sneak away and make the most of the Palace’s grounds for photo opportunities. The gardens are often described as a hidden oasis in this area of South West London, and this photo makes it seem as though Mari and Ben were the only people around on this day.

After a cosy drinks reception in the Bishop’s Terricks dining room, it’s time for dinner. The couple chose a beautiful four course autumn inspired menu…

Scallops and Black Pudding with Cauliflower Puree, Proscuitto crisp and microshoots

Beef Wellington, Dauphinoise Potatoes, Involtini of green beans, wild mushrooms and a rich madeira jus

Individual cheese plates with crackers, fig, quince jelly and grapes

Poached pear and vanilla ice cream on a praline crumb with accompanying warm chocolate sauce and a caramel crisp

It was a pleasure to be a part of Mari and Ben’s day and we wish them many happy returns. Our last image is our favourite, a big smile from one happy Bride! Thank you to the lovely Emma Duggan for sharing these photos.
